Who We Are
DHCA has been in business since September 2004, our first contract being
with Jackson County, TN, (Gainesboro) effective July 1, 2005. We
are now authorized to provide our services in North Carolina and
Georgia, as well. The basis
for our success has been two things: development of an innovative model
for providing inmate health care services to small jails; and,
development of a professional staff of physicians and nurses who
understand what it means to be a part of a team. DHCA knows what team
work really means. All our staff is willing and available wherever and
whenever we need them, working with each other and corrections staff to
meet any challenge and providing services that meet our mission:
To provide comprehensive inmate health care to detention facilities
through services designed to significantly reduce cost while increasing
the level of health care provided to inmates
We are very proud of the staff we have in all areas of health care we
provide.
Officers:
Rich Ellis, President and CEO
Rich is a graduate of East Tennessee State University with a Masters
of City Management and has over 30 years of local government management
experience most recently as Accreditation Manager for the Blount County
Sheriffs Office, Maryville, TN.
Joe Moore, Co-Owner & OPP Officer
Joe is a graduate of Georgia Tech University and and is a pharmacist
who developed OPP along with other pharmaceutical and entrepreneurial
interests in the Cleveland areas and Tennessee.
Wanda Ellis, Co-Owner & Finance Director
Wanda owned and operated a computer company for over 13 years,
providing computer systems support mostly for governmental offices in
Tennessee.
